Near North Side Neighborhood’s Old Town Art Fair on June 12th and 13th 

Enjoy local art and local performers at your own pace with the return of the popular Old Town Art Fair. With over 200 local artists and a tour of 50 local gardens, you can plan a full day of it! Make sure you register ahead of time if you want to be admitted.

 

“Theaster Gates: How to Sell Hardware” until July 31st 

This unique art installation tells the touching story of a family-owned, local hardware store in the 70s and 80s on the South Side of Chicago. “How to Sell Hardware” explains the evolution of consumer behavior and the inspirational value these one-of-a-kind hardware parts have for artists’ creativity.

 

El Jolgorio de Salsa y Más until August 28th 

Humboldt Park’s neighborhood and Puerto Rican community are hosting live cultural performances with DJs and salsa dancers every Saturday through August. You can learn how to salsa dance, eat delicious Puerto Rican delicacies and support your local community all at once! It’s a win-win.
