The 7 Best Cubs Bars in Chicago

It’s that time of year again!

Where will you chant “Go, Cubs, Go!” this year? Lucky for you: we know the seven best spots to grab drinks and food if you aren’t attending an actual game.

Murphy’s Bleachers, 3655 N Sheffield
This pub is DEFINITELY packed on game days, and it’s easy to see why. Great pizza and burgers, and a lot of great specials. The outdoor area is great, too!

Bernie’s Tap & Grill, 3664 N Clark
Bernie’s has the best food in the area, no contest! Compared to the high prices inside Wrigley Field, Bernie’s is definitely more bang for your buck. Also, check out the patio area on warmer days.

Cubby Bear, 1059 W Addison
The Cubby Bear is probably one of the most popular bars for Cubs fans and Wrigleyville visitors alike. Not only is it an awesome spot for hanging out before, during, and after Cubs games, but they also have an incredible live music lineup every night!

The GMan Tavern, 3740 N Clark St
GMan is one of the gems on Clark Street. As one of the last cash-only spots in the entire Wrigleyville vacinity, GMan definitely brings back that old, classic bar feeling. It’s cozy, it’s comfortable, and you can escape the Cubs craziness (but still watch the game, if you want). Also, catch their Tiki Tuesdays or live music events.

Sluggers, 3540 N Clark
Batting cages, Skee-ball, dueling pianos, and a dance floor that is DEFINITELY packed into the late hours. Oh, and lots of TVs for optimal Cubs watching. Sluggers is huge, so it’s very convenient for going out with a bigger group!

Guthrie’s Tavern, 1300 W Addison
As you can see from the photo below, this isn’t a bar with a ton of TVs, or even a bar with Cubs memorabilia. But it is a chill spot with great food, board games, and beer for a low key watching of the Cubs game, or a spot to hang out after attending one.

Sports Corner Bar & Grill, 956 W Addison
$1 domestics on Thursdays and $5 mimosas on Saturdays and Sundays (when the Cubs aren’t at home). This gigantic bar has so many TVs, it will feel like you’re almost at the actual game. Almost.
