Rightfully-named 108 Ocean Ave (formerly 112 Ocean Ave) sits on a New York riverfront and features five bedrooms, four bathrooms, a stately dining room, three-story staircase, sizable boat house and two-car garage.

For $850,000, you can own a piece of horror history plus 5,000 square feet and some serious party conversation.

Plague befell the address back on November 13, 1974, when Ronald DeFeo Jr. shot and killed his parents and four siblings. While maddening voices from the house were suggested as motive for the murder, later testimony quashes that.

Still, The Lutz family seemed to be affected, fleeing only 28 days after move in. Claims that the property was haunted by the grisly events 13 months prior prompted the classic novel and a slew of films.

Three other owners braved living there since the Lutz’s. The most recent have dipped into more renovating of the 1927-built home, this time in regards to the kitchen and third floor bathroom.

Only serious buyers (and those indifferent to the house’s missing quarter “peepers”) will be considered, so be prepared with your lawyer’s information and proof you can pay.
