There is an energy that emanates from River North. Whether it's the crowded streets of those conveniently walking to work in the morning or a group of friends heading out for the evening, it's no secret that River North is one of the city's most talked about and most populated neighborhoods.

As a shopper's paradise, one can easily spend their paycheck over the weekend. Get tickets for an event at Merchandise Mart for or pop over to Nordstrom's Trunk Club to get a stylist's approach on your wardrobe. The nearby Shops at North Bridge will definitely reel you in, whether you need to restock on skincare at Kiehl's or find your perfect suit at Hugo Boss.

River North knows how to do a night out. Make your reservations for RPM Steak, where you might spot Giuliana and Bill Rancic, or Beatrix for unique dishes and incredible dessert. If you prefer to dance the night away, head over to Bassment for incredible live entertainment (and a bathtub cocktail that includes a rubber duck).

Close proximity to the Chicago River and Lake Michigan also add to River North's appeal. Who wouldn't want to run along the Riverwalk, take a boat taxi, or check out the many restaurants cropping up in that prime location?
