Nick Nastos<\/a> <\/span>got his start in real estate in 2009, when he formed Chicago\u2019s Property Shop with his father. Since then, he joined forces with Fulton Grace<\/a><\/span>, where his group continued to grow and change, becoming one of Chicago\u2019s (and Fulton Grace<\/a><\/span>\u2019s) Top Producing Sales Team. Currently, Chicago\u2019s Property Shop has nine dedicated real estate agents<\/a><\/span> (and climbing).<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Ted Guarnero<\/span><\/a> has over 28 years of experience in Chicago real estate. Previously with Compass, Ted was originally a marketing and leasing manager who slowly got into loft conversions right when two of Chicago\u2019s most popular<\/span> areas<\/a>, West Loop<\/a><\/span> and<\/span> South Loop<\/a><\/span>, were just beginning to see residential growth. Ted firmly believes that having the right people around you makes all the difference.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

When Nick and Ted met, it was 2012, and they had an \u201cInstant connection,\u201d Ted jokes. Ted was a listing agent for a condo at 600 Lake Shore Drive<\/a><\/span> (Nick even remembers the unit number), and Nick was the agent representing the buyer. As soon as the deal was closed, they discussed Ted\u2019s influx of rental leads, and Ted asked Nick if he was interested in getting referrals. \u201cPeople always say that, but Ted followed up with it,\u201d Nick said with a smile. \u201cHe\u2019s the Santa Claus of real estate!\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

How did the idea of coming together happen? \u201cI had this thought, it was more of a co-op\u2026 top agents pool their resources and leads to become a $100M team,\u201d Ted shared. \u201cWe all met for lunch and discussed the idea of a super team.\u201d That very team is SEVENTY7 GROUP, named for the famed 77 Communities<\/span> in Chicago.\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cIt was just an idea at first, and then we started discussing it more seriously, and it kept sounding better. It worked out really well for us both, in the end,\u201d Nick said.\u00a0<\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

These two leaders in Chicago real estate<\/a><\/span> will be bringing a wealth of knowledge to their new team. But what makes them different, you ask? \u201cYou won\u2019t get an agent who is going to give you anything outside of what you\u2019re looking for,\u201d Ted said with sincerity. \u201cYou\u2019ll get an agent who knows and loves that neighborhood.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

Both Ted and Nick see the value in rentals AND sales, along with the importance of investing in technology. Ted introduced Nick to lead generation technology, and it completely transformed Nick\u2019s business. When you visit both of their websites, you\u2019re getting the most updated information possible, since the data is pulled every 15 minutes. \u201cThat\u2019s everything,\u201d Nick said, \u201cEvery piece of information you need is right there.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

It\u2019s important to note the way Nick and Ted bounce ideas off each other, constantly feeding off one another\u2019s statements and fueling the excitement. There are a lot of smiles and laughter had between sentences, and you can feel the positivity rolling off them both.<\/span><\/p>\n

What made Ted want to work with Nick? \u201cI\u2019ve been doing this for almost 30 years. But I\u2019ve known [Nick] for eight years\u2026 and he\u2019s always been an outstanding guy. There\u2019s a genuine trust here.\u201d\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Nick credits Ted with plenty of his success. \u201cI wouldn\u2019t be here without Ted. When he came to me and showed me the abilities you can have with a solid website\u2026 Ted is the one who indirectly started the growth of my company. It comes full circle for us to join together in this way.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

The two plan to continue to innovate and evolve as much as possible. Their goal for 2020? \u201c$50 million in sales volume,\u201d Ted said with fervor.<\/span><\/p>\n
