Yvette Couty’s real estate career began unexpectedly, but her determination, curiosity, and drive quickly transformed a chance beginning into a distinguished professional journey. Starting as a receptionist at Cushman & Wakefield—one of the world’s leading commercial real estate firms—she immersed herself in property and tenant management. Her eagerness to learn opened the door to facilities management, where she went on to support and collaborate with industry leaders including Jones Lang LaSalle, CBRE, Trammell Crow, Bank of America, Charles Schwab, and Beam Suntory. She also played a key role in executing transactions and helping establish the firm’s first office in Mexico City.

Her personal experience as a first‑time homeowner further shaped her path. After navigating the buying process herself, Yvette realized how overwhelming and unfamiliar it can be for many buyers. Determined to bridge that gap, she earned her broker’s license in 2011. Today, she offers clients a rare combination of commercial and residential expertise—delivering guidance grounded in loyalty, patience, and deep industry knowledge. As a past President of her Townhome Association, she also brings firsthand insight into condo ownership and association management.

A proud Chicagoan, a mother of an adult son, Hector, and grandmother of twin boys, a lifelong learner with an impressive academic foundation. She holds two master’s degrees—an MBA and a Master’s in Project Management—along with professional credentials including LEED GA, FMP (Facility Management Professional), CFM (Certified Facility Manager), and a Hospitality certification from eCornell University.

Yvette’s commitment to community is equally strong. She serves on the board of WE (Workplace Evolutionaries) and dedicates her time to volunteer initiatives across the city. Outside of work and service, she enjoys exploring Chicago’s vibrant restaurant scene, discovering new theaters, and spending quality time with friends.
