about Robert

Robert Ford-Reynolds is a Chicago-based real estate broker with a background in business development, buying, and design-led strategy across leading retail and commercial organizations. His experience spans site selection, performance analysis, and operational decision-making, giving him a practical understanding of how physical space impacts business outcomes. He brings a thoughtful, fundamentals-driven approach to real estate, focused on preparation, informed decision-making, and long-term value for clients.

Robert studied Political Science at Stanford University and began his career working political campaigns before quickly transitioning into retail growth, strategy, and development with national brands such as Ralph Lauren, J.Crew, and Suitsupply. Through these roles, he developed a strong foundation in market analysis, consumer behavior, and the relationship between physical location, brand identity, and long-term business performance.

Born and raised in Chicago, and having lived in the Bay Area, Atlanta, New York City, and Los Angeles for work, Robert brings a broad range of experience and perspective to his deep appreciation for Chicago real estate and the unique character and opportunities the city offers. After seeing firsthand how the pandemic disrupted retail corridors and commercial districts, he is motivated to play an active role in supporting Chicago’s commercial recovery. He believes that reducing vacancies, strengthening tenant-owner relationships, and activating underutilized spaces are meaningful ways to support stronger neighborhoods and a more resilient local economy.

Robert chose Fulton Grace Realty over other top brokerages because of the resources available to serve all of Chicago, not just the top tier. He approaches real estate with a citywide perspective and a respect for the unique character and economic dynamics of each neighborhood, from established corridors to emerging markets.

A priority of Robert’s work is educating consumers throughout their real estate journey, from renters becoming first-time buyers to owners and operators exploring long-term wealth-building and commercial opportunities. He is committed to helping clients make informed decisions by understanding market fundamentals, neighborhood trends, and how real estate fits into broader personal, operational, and financial goals.

Known for his calm, detail-oriented approach, Robert prioritizes trust, transparency, and long-term relationships. He views real estate as a professional discipline built on knowledge, consistency, and service, and as a tool for strengthening Chicago’s future one property at a time.

Outside of real estate and design, Robert is passionate about golf and expanding access to the sport. He maintains a disciplined fitness routine that includes long-form rowing sessions set to dance music or rap. His personal goals include becoming a scratch golfer by 2030 and rowing 30,000 meters in under two hours on a stationary rower. His current personal best is 27,322 meters in under two hours.
