about Kristofer
Kristofer Nowak's path to real estate is unlike anyone else's — and that's exactly what makes him so good at it.
Before becoming a full-time Realtor®, Kris built a career as a professional touring musician while working in the trades to make ends meet — as a machinist, truck driver, electrician's assistant, and handyman. He managed contractors at his own condo building in Irving Park and led a full renovation of a two-flat he and his wife purchased nearby, gaining a hands-on understanding of residential construction that most agents simply don't have. He has been professionally involved with dozens of home renovation and full gut rehab projects in and around Chicago as well. Years of navigating Chicago streets didn't hurt either.
What ultimately drew him into real estate was personal: after being burned by an agent who put his own interests ahead of his clients', Kris knew exactly the kind of Realtor® he wanted to be. For the past 14 years, working exclusively in Chicago and the surrounding suburbs, he's built his reputation on honesty, transparency, and fierce client advocacy — no double-dealing, ever.
A US-born child of a refugee immigrant, Kris has closed sales in every neighborhood in the city and in more than 60 suburbs. He's also a GREEN Certified Realtor® through the National Association of Realtors and a member of the Illinois Green Alliance, bringing energy efficiency expertise that benefits buyers and sellers alike.
With Kris, you get a communicator who works hard, shows up when things get difficult, and is committed to making your experience not just successful, but predictable and enjoyable. Off the clock, he's coaching his kids' sports teams, teaching them music, performing as a member of The Grateful String Band, and cheering on his Chicago teams — a proud husband, father and Chicagoan.
