Amber Brewer
about Amber
Amber Brewer's love of real estate started early — at nine years old, building sprawling properties in The Sims. That childhood fascination grew into a genuine admiration for Chicago's greystones, and eventually into a career. After exploring several corners of the industry to find where she truly fit, Amber found her niche in helping people connect with the places and communities they'll call home.
What sets Amber apart is her deep, firsthand knowledge of Chicago's neighborhoods. She's volunteered across the North, South, East, and West Sides, and it's the West Side — where she was born and raised — that holds a special place in her heart. Amber has an eye for the small details that make a community special: the corner cafes, the neighborhood festivals, the community gardens, the local groups that give a block its character. She loves nothing more than sharing that knowledge with clients and, as she puts it, putting people up on good taste.
Amber grew up in North Lawndale on Chicago's West Side and recently returned to the neighborhood, buying a 2-flat with her husband and their two-year-old daughter — a homecoming she describes as replanting roots in the community that raised them both. She earned her Bachelor of Arts in Communications, with a minor in Sociology, from Calvin University in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Before real estate, Amber worked in youth development and later built a foundation in commercial property management at JLL and CBRE, two of Chicago's leading commercial brokerages.
Outside of work, Amber is a passionate baker and stylist, with a sharp eye for design whether it's an outfit or an entire home. She describes herself as particular, creative, and deeply attuned to beauty in all its forms — qualities that show up in every home she helps her clients find.
