about Andrew
Andrew Conklin was born in Rogers Park and raised in Chicago’s northern suburbs before graduating from DePaul University. He began his career in healthcare marketing communications before transitioning into real estate. A lifelong Chicagoan, Andrew has experienced city living at multiple stages of life—from recent college graduate, to newlywed and first-time homebuyer, and now as a parent of twins living in the northern suburbs.
Since becoming a real estate broker, Andrew has taken great pride in guiding buyers and sellers through a smooth, well-informed, and low-stress experience. He has worked with clients across all stages of homeownership, from first-time buyers to downsizing empty nesters, and is honored to be part of such meaningful milestones. His commitment to clients extends well beyond the closing table, offering ongoing support through home improvement guidance, annual market analyses to track home value appreciation, and trusted vendor recommendations for maintenance and upgrades.
To further elevate his expertise and better serve his clients, Andrew has earned the advanced designations of Accredited Buyer’s Representative (ABR) and Senior Real Estate Specialist (SRES). Though his most cherished professional accomplishment has been to officiate the wedding of a former client.
In addition to residential sales, Andrew works closely with investment property owners and landlords, helping market rental properties, negotiate lease renewals, and identify improvements that can enhance rental income.
PROFESSIONAL DESIGNATIONS/ MEMBERSHIPS:
NATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF REALTORS®: Real estate agents and REALTORS® both help people buy and sell properties. The main difference is that REALTORS® have taken the necessary steps to become part of National Association of REALTORS® (NAR). NAR members agree to abide by NAR's Code of Ethics. NAR's Code of Ethics outlines the rules that REALTORS® must follow when dealing with other REALTORS®, the public, and their current or future clients. Its purpose is to make sure that REALTORS® place the interests of their clients above their own. Real estate agents aren't obligated to adhere to the same ethical standards as REALTORS®, which is why many buyers and sellers desire to work with a REALTOR®.
ACCREDITED BUYER’S REPRESENTATIVE (ABR®): Some members of the National Association of REALTORS® decide to develop deeper real estate expertise by completing additional education and earning credentials in specialized areas, including buyer representation.
To earn the Accredited Buyer’s Representative (ABR®) designation, REALTORS® must take several courses and demonstrate prior experience representing buyers in real estate transactions. The education emphasizes an agent’s fiduciary responsibilities to clients, including adhering to specific duties, obligations, and high standards of good faith and loyalty throughout the transaction process.
SENIORS REAL ESTATE SPECIALISTS: REALTORS® with the Seniors Real Estate Specialist® (SRES®) designation have received specialized training to ensure that they are well-equipped to address the unique challenges faced by seniors in today’s real estate market. Whether retiring, downsizing, joining an active adult community, or finding an accessible home to age in place, an SRES® will guide you through every step of the process. They provide compassionate, personalized service to help you find a home that aligns with the lifestyle preferences, healthcare needs, and financial goals of this stage of life.
